Missile Command
Atari 2600 - A2600

Aliens from the planet Krytol launched an attack on the planet Zardon. The Krytolians are warriors to destroy and capture the planet Zardon. Zardon is the last of the peaceful planets. The Zardonians are skilled and hardworking people. Their cities are built and rich in resources. This is truly a planet void of crime and violence.

"Zardon" built a powerful defense system. Several anti-missile bases in the cities "Zardon". The Zardonians are ready for this attack, and are ready to fight to save their cities.

As the base commander, it is your responsibility to protect and protect the six cities on the planet "Zardon". The Krytolians began firing interplanetary ballistic missiles. They target your cities and missile bases. Your only defense is return fire with missiles. But be careful, Krytolians are tricky, they also have cruise missiles. Cruise missiles look like satellites, but they are just as deadly as interplanetary ballistic missiles.

Use your rocket component (pro) to stop the enemy before your happy and harmonious planet is destroyed.

The object of the game is to defend your cities and missile bases. enemy bonfires interplanetary ballistic missiles and cruise missiles that aim to destroy your cities and missile base. There are only two types of cruise missiles; cruise missiles are smart, which try to evade their anti-ballistic missiles (Pro), and dumb cruise missiles, which fall in a direct path.

Enemy attacks in a series of waves, which can vary in the number of attacking interplanetary ballistic missiles. Each successive wave moves faster. The faster the wave, the harder it is to defend cities. So the faster the wave, the higher the score. See Section 5 for details on waves and scoring.

With each wave, you have 30 pro to defend (see fig. 1). Your starting Missile Base, (bottom center of the game board) contains only 10 pros at a time. As each set of 10 pro's is fired, you automatically get over 10 from you underground missile dump (bottom, left corner). Once you have produced all 30 pros, you are defenseless until the new wave begins.

You have to protect your missile base launch from enemy fire. As soon as it is hit, all of its contents are removed. However, you still have the remaining missiles in the underground dumps. The game ends when all cities are destroyed.
