Atari 2600 - A2600
The promotional information mentioned that there were 27 different games in the cartridge, however, all of them were variations of battles between tanks, biplanes or jets.
In the tank game there are two tanks, each of which is controlled by the player. Tanks move around the playing field and shoot at each other until the time runs out. The player with the most points wins. In variations of the game, the types of projectiles changed (directly flying missiles, homing missiles, tank Pong - projectiles bouncing off walls), the ability to damage an opponent with a direct hit or just a bouncing projectile. There was also a variant with an invisible tank (which became visible for a few seconds after the shot), as well as Pong with invisible tanks. The playing field could be empty or be a simple or complex maze.
Another type of game was biplane combat. Unlike tanks, there were three types of projectiles: direct-flying missiles, homing missiles, and machine guns. As game modes, there were one-on-one combat, two-on-two combat (both biplanes controlled by the player performed actions synchronously), a battle of three biplanes against one large bomber. The bomber shot was a large projectile that behaved like a straight-flying rocket. Instead of mazes, there were two clouds in the center of the playing field that players could fly into to hide from each other.
This mode was similar to the biplane level, but only direct-flying missiles and guided missiles were available. Variations of the playing field and the ability to play as a flight of aircraft (two by two or three by three) were available.
