The Adventures of Musashi (AKA Musashi; Musashi no "Bouken") is a little-known RPG this side of the Pacific, which is natural since it wasn't released outside of Japan. But thanks to the efforts of Gaijen Translations, we can download the patch and play the game in English!
Although you don't acquire any other real party members, at the start of the game, you will be able to find a Tanuki Raccoon to accompany you on your journey.
