Journey Escape is a video game developed and produced by Data Age in San Jose, California for the Atari 2600 console, and released in 1982. This is the star rock band Journey, one of the world's most popular acts on time, and is based on their Escape album.
The player must guide the members of the group to their "rescue ship Scarab" (as on the cover) and protect the cash from the concert "love-crazy" groupies, sneaky photographers, barriers and "rolling eyes" promoters. Assisting the player is not a road racer, which provides short periods of immunity to obstacles, and the manager is inexplicably portrayed as a kool-aid person, allowing the player to move the Scarab completely unhindered. The screen scrolls vertically without stopping, although the speed can be controlled; the player moves from side to side to dodge the aforementioned obstacles.
