Game Krull (Atari 2600 - a2600)
Krull

Krull is a video game based on the movie of the same name. The first Krull adaptation was a 1983 arcade game produced by D. Gottlieb & Co.. A home adaptation similar to the arcade version was planned for the Atari 5200, but poor sales of that console made the decision to release the game on the Atari 2600 instead. A pinball version was also developed but never entered production.

The game begins at the wedding ceremony of Prince Colvin and Princess Lissa. However, the Beast Slayers interrupt the ceremony. Use your sword to parry them for as long as possible. If one of the creatures reaches the bottom of the screen, Princess Lissa will be kidnapped and you must race to rescue her.

Get on your horse and cross the iron desert in the side-scrolling part of the game where you can pick up five-sided throwing stars known as spears to defeat the beast. You can also pick up extra lives as well!

On the other side of the Iron Desert lives an Internet widow who can tell you where to find the Black Fortress where Princess Lissa is passing through. Jump over the sticky, moving webs to reach the widow's cocoon in the top center of the screen. Beware of the Crystal Spider: its bite is deadly.

When you reach the cocoon, a flashing white light will indicate the correct path to the black fortress. There is a web exit and get back on your horse to race to rescue Princess Lissa. If you choose the wrong move, you will lose either one Glaive or one life.

Choose the right one and you will find yourself in a black fortress in front of the beast. Use the Glaive to break off pieces from the prison where Princess Lissa is being held captive. Be careful: the beast will try to block your shots and retaliate with shots of his own. Catch the Glaive in a last hit or she will be lost. The game is won when you free Princess Lissa. Do this and play the game again, only this time it will be a more challenging setting.
