Game Desert Falcon (Atari 7800 - a7800)
Desert Falcon

Desert Falcon is a shooting game in isometric view. You fly over the Egyptian desert fighting scarabs and other enemies. At the end of the level, you will have to fight the Sphinx. Desperate desert treasure hunt!

All that you see around you is a boundless desert, ancient obelisks and pyramids standing alone, floating in the frozen, hot air. The legends that brought you here are 3,000 years old. They tell of thieves who ransacked the tomb of the pharaoh, of camels laden with huge sacks of gold, silver and precious stones, and of their flight through the desert. But at night, the terrible inhabitants of the desert pursued the robbers, and the priceless treasure was scattered and lost. They didn't even find the camels... Now you're here. A keen eye already sees in the distance the jewels sparkling in the sun, and he did not hide those who approached from afar. You can turn around and be safe. Or you can continue and try to collect the Pharaoh's Jewels...

This Atari exclusive looks like Zaxxon in the desert, with some strategy elements. A falcon shooting arrows flies through the desert. Symbols are scattered across the sand, collecting three identical ones, you can get some kind of power-up, and activate it with the right button. In fact, that action, that strategy in the game is lame. It is not always possible to calculate the height correctly, and power-ups can do harm (for example, by increasing the flight speed). As an alternative to the brake - I advise you to take off and land, it slows down the game. Everything is drawn decently, but the colors are inconspicuous. Desert Falcon didn't turn out the way it was supposed to.

It is curious that the Desert Falcon was made back in 1984, and she saw the light a few years later.
