Game Jinks (Atari 7800 - a7800)
Jinks

Juggler. You must, by juggling the ball, bring it to the exit from the level. The beat can be flipped.

"Jinks" - a combination of breakout and pinball genres, you will have to play on a huge, horizontally stretched playing field. By controlling the bat, you can direct the ball to the bricks, bonuses, or to the exit (on the right side of the screen). You need to clear each level as much as possible before exiting. The graphics are detailed, but the color palette is sparse. At higher levels, enemies try to deal with a bat or a ball. The main problem with Jinks is that it is incredibly difficult to control the movement of the ball. He stubbornly jumps in one direction, in the end, this makes the game predictable and starts to piss him off. But I liked the music. Bottom line: the game looks awesome at first glance, but not so much at the second...

The backstory of "Jinks" is as follows. Your ship, in the shape of a bat, has been wandering over the fields and forests of the planet Jinks (planet of Tricks) for some time now. Everything on it looks strange, shapes, shadows, landscapes. The magic ball bounces in front of the ship. Something tells you that by moving the ship, you can control the ball and discover the secrets of this planet.

"Jinks" was released for Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari 7800, Atari ST and Commodore 64.

This is the only cartridge on the Atari 7800 that uses a speech synthesizer. The opening "Welcome" and gong are stolen from the game Gauntlet.
