Monopoly for GameCom is an adaptation of the popular real estate board game.
The game can be played by up to six players on one PDA. Up to five players can be controlled by the CPU - each player with a CPU plays in a different style.
Some game rules are customizable. Standard rules such as auctions, the uniform assembly rule, and jail transactions can be disabled. Additional rules include a double Go landing bonus, one mandatory lap before buying, and toggling an infinite number of buildings in the bank. In a short game, all players start with the same number of random properties.
During a real game, the board is displayed from top to bottom. The center of the board is reserved for animations (which can be turned off): player tokens move around the board, rich Uncles Pennybags roll dice, and events like going to jail. The game is mostly icon-driven; icons can be activated using buttons or touch input.
