Scrabble for GameCom is an adaptation of the popular word building board game.
The game can be played by two to four players either on the same laptop, via cable, or against CPU opponents (with three difficulty settings available). Options include toggling the tournament timer and penalty timer, as well as the sort order of the tiles on the rack.
During play, the board is visible from above, the players' scores to the right, and the tile rack below. The game starts with a full field of view, but two zoom settings are available to check details and place tiles using the touch interface. When playing against human opponents, one can challenge their constructed words. This is not possible against the opponents of the processor, who check their words against the built-in dictionary.
