Game Addams Family, The (Sega Mega Drive - gen)
Addams Family, The

THE ADDAMS FAMILY have been evicted! Tully Alford, a family lawyer, coveted the wealth of a gloomy family. Morticia, Lurch, Maman, Pugsley, and Wendy went to the house to sort it out, but when Gomez arrived, his entire family had mysteriously vanished!

Playing as Gomez, you must save his loved ones, home and wealth. For the release will need money - bags of money. Luckily, the cash is hidden in all the nooks and crannies of the house. You need to search every corner of it, regardless of the dangers - flying peaks, frightening monsters and ghosts. We'll have to find the keys and solve all sorts of puzzles. Most likely, the Thing will also help, but it must also be found first.

I won't say anything special about Addams Family, The - an ordinary, rather complex platformer. What to say? The game is like a game, the graphics are mediocre, but due to the loud name, it has its fans.

The Addams Family owes its origin to Charles Addams. Taking the idea of a typical American family, Charles added a bit of mysticism to it, and "comics" that he drew himself began to appear in The New Yorker magazine from 1938 to 1988. Rapid popularity allowed the Addams to settle in TV series (since 1964), cartoons (since 1972), feature films (since 1991) and video games (since 1989).

- Games under the name The Addams Family were released based on the 1991 movie of the same name for arcades, Sega Mega Drive / Genesis, Super NES, Amiga and Atari ST in 1992. Despite their similarities, there are also differences. In the SNES version, the main theme song starts playing when the Thing is talking to the player, but in the MegaDrive version, only at the intro. The arcade version takes Gomez around the house on her own, leaving the player to go through all the levels offered.

- A similar game was released for NES and Sega Game Gear/Master System, but with some changes. The graphics were simplified, the locations were redone, and the storyline became more linear.

- The TurboGrafx-16 CD version from ICOM Simulations is generally interesting because we play as Tully Alford, not Gomez!

- Two more versions: one for Game Boy and another for Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum.
