The best thing that I remember in the game is the face of their teacher (Victor Wong, I love this actor).

One of the explanations for such low quality is that this is not the final version of the game (they say that the ROM with this game never saw the light of day and can only be downloaded from the Internet. The game was developed for 16-bit platforms of that time. The Sega Mega Drive/Sega Genesis version is easier to play than the Super Nintendo. There is a noticeable lag in colors and a metallic ringing in the music. The Super Nintendo version looks and sounds nicer (it even has voices), but the difficulty is impossible.
