Ben Tennyson, his grandfather Max and his cousin Gwen are traveling the country looking for summer vacation adventures when a meteor impact changes their plans. Ben finds the Omnitrix, an alien prototype weapon that attaches to his arm and gives him the ability to transform into ten different alien heroes. Vilgax, an intergalactic warlord, has recruited several of Ben's former adversaries in his devious quest for the Omnitrix, setting a final trap. Now it's up to you to stop Vilgax and prevent the Omnitrix from falling into the wrong hands!
Ben 10 was the first Ben 10 console game developed by Semi-Logic Entertainment and released for HyperScan in 2006.
Plot
"Oh yes, it's time for heroes!" - Ben Tennyson
When the most powerful device in the universe falls into the hands of a 10-year-old boy, serious complications are inevitable. The Omnitrix, with its ability to biologically transfer the otherworldly DNA of bizarre alien species, allows young Ben Tennyson to transform into 10 individual superheroes: Heat Burst, Upgrade, Gray Matter, Stinky, Ghost Freak, Jaws, Wildmutt, Four Arms, XLR8, and Diamond Head. While each has their own set of fantastic abilities, they also have certain flaws that make them (and Ben) vulnerable to a host of villainous adversaries, all of whom seem to be magnetically drawn to the "clock".
The leader of the bad guys is Vilgax, an intergalactic warlord who has been scouring the universe in search of the Omnitrix. Now that Vilgax has traced it to Earth, or rather to Ben's wrist, nothing will stop him from taking it. He recruited several former opponents of Ben in this treacherous quest. Each of them will attempt to defeat Ben and his various incarnations as Vilgax sets the final trap: an energy-dampening Omni-Release device that will finally separate the watch from Ben's wrist, placing the Omnitrix in the squid-faced despot's slimy claws. .
Due to the threat of this new and dangerous technology, Ben's only hope is to increase the strength of the Omnitrix by creating his own invention: the Omni-Shield, made from the weapons of the various villains he fights. Hopefully the shield will be enough to defend against Vilgax's latest assault campaign.
While Ben's main concerns lie in finding the best way to use his power and when to summon his inner superheroes, it's good that he has a backup. Along the way, Ben is helped by two of his traveling companions, the wise but completely unsuspecting Grandpa Max and his shrewd, perceptive but often annoying cousin Gwen. Max and Gwen not only keep him on the ground, but also help and suggest to bail Ben out of trouble when it's most needed.
