Mega Man - The Power Battle

Mega Man: Power Battle is a fighting game developed by Capcom. She is part of the megaman series, but the player only fights one host on stage.

The player gets to choose from three different characters: Mega Man, Protoman, and Bass. Each character has similar abilities, but slightly different characteristics. They all start with normal blasters and 8 health points. The player must fight against an enemy chosen at random in an arena-like nook (confined space).

The player can move the character using the arrow keys. And there are 3 buttons that will perform the following actions: shoot, jump and switch weapons. If the player holds down the shoot button, the player can charge a regular blaster (and some boss weapons). The height of the jump can be increased by holding the "up" on the directional key before pressing the jump key. To switch weapons, the player must defeat at least one boss. There are a total of 7 bosses including the final boss. To get to the final boss, the player must defeat the first 6 bosses, which will be randomly selected. When the player defeats the boss, the player will receive a new weapon. The player's weapon will have a similar characteristic to the boss that was defeated (for example, the slashman will reward the player with the slashclaw). When the player transitions from a regular blaster, there will be an energy bar indicating the ammo for that weapon. Also, when the player defeats a boss, the player gains one health point.

Each boss has a weakness to a certain type of weapon (for example, Cut Man is easy to defeat if the player has purchased a sheet of shield).

Each character also has unique dashing animations. A dash can be performed by holding "down" on the directional keys before pressing jump.

The game has a very fast paced game; however, it's a lot harder to beat this game compared to other Mega-Man series. The player must master the mechanics of the game and each boss fight in order to progress smoothly. Everyone who loves fighting games should definitely try this game.
