Game Myst (Atari Jaguar CD - jag_cd)
Myst

Few are chosen. Less successful. Venture into an island world filled with surreal mystery... where every bright stone, piece of paper, and sound can hold important clues that will help you unravel a chilling tale of intrigue and injustice that defies the confines of time and space. Only your mind and imagination will help to maintain courage and uncover the ancient betrayal of past centuries.

You have just stumbled upon a very intriguing book, a book called Myst. You have no idea where it came from, who wrote it, or how old it is. After reading its pages, you will only get a description of the island world. But it's just a book, isn't it? When you reach the end of the book, you place your hand on the page. Suddenly, your own world dissolves into darkness, replaced by the island world described in the pages. Now you are here, wherever you are, and you have no other choice but to explore. Myst is a first-person adventure where the player controls a character known as the Stranger. Magically transported to the world described in the book, he must explore the island of Mist and unravel its mysteries. The game is presented as a series of static scenes in which the player interacts with the environment by clicking and manipulating objects. There are no enemies and it is impossible to die. Through Myst Island, the game is further divided into mini-worlds set in different eras, accessed through different books. The game interface is reduced to a single cursor for navigation and interaction. Instead of collecting items and using them to solve puzzles, the player must collect thinly placed clues and manipulate complex mechanical devices to advance in the game. The world of Myst is mostly uninhabited, and the game has very few live action scenes with characters and dialogue. in order to collect items and use them to solve puzzles, the player must collect thinly placed clues and manipulate complex mechanical devices to advance in the game.
