Game Breakout 2000 (Atari Jaguar - jag)
Breakout 2000

Breakout 2000 is a game for the Atari Jaguar console, a 3D version of the classic Breakout arcade game that can be played alone or together.

The task in the game remained the same as in the original, but the game took place on a three-dimensional field. There were a total of ten different Game Phases to complete, each consisting of five game boards. Each subsequent field was more difficult than the previous one, and each subsequent Phase increased the level of difficulty even more and added opportunities to the game.

Just like in Arkanoid, there were good and bad bonuses in the game. Among them are unbreakable, multi-impact and multi-tiered bricks. The movement of the ball was limited by the lower level of multi-tiered bricks, and after the destruction of the lower brick, a brick from a higher tier falls into the vacant place. The game also featured a two-player mode that allowed two people (or a human and a computer) to compete in a simultaneous game. In this mode, the player's ball could hit the playing field of another player and break the opponent's bricks there. For such bricks the player received double points.

Between phases, players could play bonus games such as 3D Pong or Accuracy Training. These games helped the player prepare for the more difficult next phase.
