The game has several modes: single race, tag, etc.

Players can choose different locations in which to race: the Wild West, San Francisco, etc.

To advance to the next level, the player must complete the race or collect Power Balls in the game area.

The game also features a two-player mode.

As with many other 3D Jaguar games, the game has little to no textures.

Club Drive is considered one of the worst Atari Jaguar games. A reviewer for GameFan Magazine noted the awkward controls, absurd artificial intelligence, and frustrating gameplay. A reviewer for Video Games & Computer Entertainment cited poor graphic quality, controls that were hard to get used to, and a fly-buzzing engine sound.
