Street Slam is a 3v3 street basketball game. One or two players can choose from 10 teams: France, Spain, USA, Italy, Germany, Taiwan, United Kingdom, China, Japan and South Korea (in European and Japanese versions. In version USA is represented by local cities). Teams are scored from 1 to 9 points based on four criteria (dunk, 3 points, speed and defense). Each game lasts two halves of 2 minutes each. The game ends if the player loses the first half and needs to spend a continuation to play the second half. While on offense, a player can perform 2 or 3 point shots by pressing the A button. The B button is used to pass the ball. Pressing the A and B buttons together will toss the ball high in the air, while catching it in the meantime (pressing the A button) causes the player to dunk. Being on the defensive the player can jump and block by pressing A, and cut and steal by pressing B. A fantasy element has been added to the game: a supershot indicator is displayed at the bottom of the screen for each team. As points are awarded, the meter fills up. When the meter is full, the player can super-dunk by pressing A on a 3-point shot line and the player will jump 10 meters in the air.
