Game BattleSphere (Atari Jaguar - jag)
BattleSphere

The BattleSphere game was released after Jaguar's support ended, so it was not possible to provide the necessary quantities of cartridges and other components of the game, as a result of which the game was released in a small circulation (several hundred copies).

The game was originally called Star Battle, after a game written for mainframes by one of the developers when he was at university.

The BattleSphere game also takes place in the future (2800s). The seven major races of the galaxy are at war. Borrowing an idea from a Star Trek episode, they decided to confine military operations to Sector 51, a spherical sector of space previously used by the Earth government for secret weapons and spacecraft testing. Each race sent a contingent of its troops to this sector to take part in the tournament of space battles. The winner of the tournament will take control of the galaxy.

There are 7 races in BattleSphere: Oppressors, Smg'Heeds (descendants of modern humans), O'catanut, Slith, Se bab, Telchines and Thunderbirds.

The BattleSphere game allows you to network up to 16 consoles, each can be played by 2 people: a pilot and a gunner (up to 32 players in total).
