Aero Fighters 2 (known as Sonic Wings 2 in Japan) is a vertical scrolling shoot 'em up arcade game released in 1994 by Video System.
The game is played with two buttons, with the button to fire projectiles from the plane and the B button to launch a special explosion that uses bombs with a limited supply of bombs. Projectile strength can be obtained by destroying buildings and armored enemy aircraft. There are two types of power projectiles: "P" power projectiles, which increases the aircraft's firepower by one level, and "F" power projectiles, which increases the aircraft's firepower to the maximum instantly level. The maximum level only lasts a limited number of shots.
When certain ground enemies and buildings are destroyed, money bonuses appear that give a random number of points. When the player reaches the end of the stage, the player must face the boss ship.
