Game Adventures of Bayou Billy, The (Dendy - nes)
Adventures of Bayou Billy, The

Adventures of Bayou Billy, The has several types of games in one. Here is a simple walker like Beat 'em Up (beat them all), where an uncle in a hat, which does not prevent him from kicking everyone he meets, walks through the levels, and a shooting range for a light gun, and a racing simulator. Like all games from Konami, it has great sound. The graphics didn't disappoint either.

It's up to you to rescue Annabelle! Do you have the courage to fight Gordon and his man? - that's what is written in the intro of the game. Billy goes to save Anabel from Gordon's clutches. Along the way, he will meet many minions of the villain, who by all means will prevent him from getting to his boss.

Well, they will interfere on three different types of levels:
- Levels in the beat'em up style, where you have to go and crush all opponents on the way.
- Driving a car, where you need to try to get to your destination, shooting back from enemies attacking from cars and planes.
- Virtual shooting ranges. Before the start of the level, the control style is selected - with a light gun or a joystick - and we set off to destroy the enemies.
Tip: Choose an emulator to play the game that emulates the light gun well.

The Adventures of Billy Bayou AKA Mad City multi is an action game with a southern bayou theme. The story is typical, your girlfriend has been kidnapped by a rich villain and you must travel to his mansion to beat up his gang of thugs in an attempt to get her back. Although the game had a lot of interesting ideas, like mixing fighting, movement, and shooting into one big game, it kind of fell in her face at a bad game. Basically, the game was incredibly difficult because the regular game mechanics didn't fit. Even if you were good at beat-em-ups, you will have a hard time in combat units. Shooting sections were really cool, but using the Zapper was silly and trying to move the super sensitive crosshairs with the controller took a lot of practice. The driving section was easier to control, but also boring, with only slight variations throughout the game. All this aside The game really does keep you coming back for more, but even the pros will get frustrated and drop their controller at some point. But there was a version of the game that was a little more balanced with weaker enemies, but the controls were no better.

Like most Konami big titled games, The Adventures of Billy Bayou had decent music for his day, including some nice peppy tunes. The intro cut scenes have sound quality that you don't expect from a NES game, and the ending music is one of the best. The game also features surprisingly good words for the title form 1988. The titles and awards of the music in the game are based on information from an internal sound test. Composers were forced by Konami producers to use pseudonyms. In order to take their rightful place in history, we contacted Atsushi Fujio, who gave us the real names of the composers. Atsushi Fujio said that he does not compose music, but he arranges music and manipulates data. For some reason, Jun Funahashi's credits are for the US release but not the Japanese release. His name replaces Kiyohiro Sada'
