Air Fortress, what at first glance can be mistaken for some kind of alien air space base, is nothing more than an astronaut in a spacesuit on some kind of space scooter. Otherwise, the meaning has not changed - to fly under a hail of bullets (side view) and shoot back yourself in order to 'defuse' the situation a little, just getting off the space scooter at the end of the flight, enter the enemy space base and continuing to fly without a space scooter on your dressed suit, also killing opponents and overcoming difficulties on the way to the reactor in order to destroy it and activate the self-destruction of the air spacecraft. The game is quite complex and interesting in its own way.
Air Fortress has a fairly typical alien invasion.
Plot: The people of the planet Farmel, who have recently learned the technology for space travel, have eagerly explored the galaxy only to find a herd of monstrous alien air space bases on their heads, they are moving in their direction. Like the creatures from the later Independence Day movie, the alien space fortresses in the air act like interstellar locusts, destroying all resources and life in their path. In the final showdown, they send one warrior (Hal Bailman) equipped with a shielded suit, space scooter, powerful weapons to infiltrate the fortresses and destroy them from the inside by destroying their generator (the heart of the air fortress).
The air fortress consists of two parts. The battle on each air fortress will start at the air base. If you successfully defeat your opponents at the air base. You will get through the air lock to the main building of the air fortress. The ultimate goal is to destroy the Central Reactor of each air fortress.
