Game Addams Family, The (Dendy - nes)
Addams Family, The

In the role of one of the characters of the film of the same name - Gomez'a - we save the rest of the family members from various misfortunes. A bunch of quest elements, but the enemies, as in ordinary walkers. We are looking for keys, potions and more, along the way collecting all possible money.

Addams Family, The is the most ordinary platformer, with simple graphics and unimportant animation, and on the other hand, it has a very cool gameplay, and the game is very addictive. She is a little dark, but at the same time very sweet. It's full of elements of classic horror films, but all of them are presented in such a way that a smile involuntarily appears on the face.

The Addams Family is an iconic American family invented in the distant 40s by cartoonist Charles Addams. Addams managed to create unique, bordering on insanity, and impregnated with black humor, the characters of the family members.

We all know how infamous games under movie licenses (or any other licenses) are, and that most often they are almost unplayable piece of code. The Addams Family, fortunately, escaped such a fate, but, alas, not completely, and the game still has a decent amount of game design errors, flaws and infuriating places.

The plot of the game with the film is rather weakly connected - the money-hungry Addams family lawyer Tully Alford evicts the family from their mansion. Morticia, Wednesday, Pugsley, Lurch and Granny go to vacate their house and disappear without a trace. The lonely father of the Gomez family will have to save all the members of the family and, at the end, fight with the greedy lawyer and the amnesiac Uncle Fester. Throughout The Addams Family, players will explore the Addams Castle and surrounding areas, filled with references to the film and TV series.

Gameplay, at first glance, the game is the most common platformer, but not everything is so simple here. The Addams Family is a platform game with a fair amount of a quest, and in order to complete it, it’s not enough to have only a lightning-fast reaction, but you still have to turn on your brain and be very careful, because each item found or saved family member plays a specific role in the passage. Also, money is scattered around the levels and in order to get to the final adversary you need to collect 1 million - this makes you scrupulously comb the entire gaming territory in search of secret levels stuffed with dollars. In general, this is not the most brilliant idea: to hide things necessary for passing in secret places. Enemies here are ghosts, flying skulls, skeletons, spiders and other animals that are standard for games of this genre. Most of the bastards are killed with a good old jump on the head, Screenshot of the hall with portraits, but some you will have to trap. All of the above looks very good until the moment you sit down for the game, because after a few minutes there will be a burning hatred due to the disgusting miscalculation of collisions with enemies and objects; because of the abysses that can only be crossed by running to the very edge; because of a bunch of all sorts of nonsense, constantly pouring from above at the most inopportune moment; because of the uncontrolled water level and other small, but very annoying moments. because in a few minutes there will be a burning hatred due to the disgusting miscalculation of collisions with enemies and objects; because of the abysses that can only be crossed by running to the very edge; because of a bunch of all sorts of nonsense, constantly pouring from above at the most inopportune moment; because of the uncontrolled water level and other small, but very annoying moments. because in a few minutes there will be a burning hatred due to the disgusting miscalculation of collisions with enemies and objects; because of the abysses that can only be crossed by running to the very edge; because of a bunch of all sorts of nonsense, constantly pouring from above at the most inopportune moment; because of the uncontrolled water level and other small, but very annoying moments.

The game's graphics are average by NES standards, but everything is done very neatly and neatly, but something didn't work out with the sounds - there are too few of them here. Music, like graphics, is not particularly surprising. I am glad, however, that the main theme of the Addams is transferred to 8-bit quite well and is well recognizable.

Fix the developers who have minor flaws and errors, then the game could turn out to be much more exciting and not so annoying. But even in this form, it is quite worthy of acquaintance, especially for fans of the crazy family.
