Game Addams Family, The - Pugsley
Addams Family, The - Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt

In Addams Family, The - Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt, you play as the youngest member of the Addams family, Pugsley. The goal, as in other parts of this game, is to save the family. The game is quite successfully ported from the Super Nintendo. Familiar rooms from the SNES, bosses. Lots of secret passages and rooms.

The platform part of the gameplay has not changed. All the same jumps on enemies, the same running around for bonuses (only instead of money now you need to collect sweets), again - bosses. You can note a wide variety of enemies, a beautiful and original design of each level, and, of course, the non-linearity of the plot.

This time, the developers abandoned the quest component of the game. Now the main character has no items in his inventory, no need to look for any keys, nothing restricts your movement around the big world. And black humor has gone somewhere, and there was a lot of it in the last game...

The game is quite similar to The Addams Family - the same story about saving the family, the same structure with free movement around the game world without a strict division into levels, and the engine seems to be the same, but Addams Family, The - Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt is not direct continuation, since it is based on the SNES version of the Addams Family, The - Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt, unlike the first game, is a standard platformer without quest impurities: no more collecting items and searching for money, and saved family members do not affect the gameplay in any way. Another difference is the main character, now a young Pugsley, as the title suggests. The visual style has also undergone a change, as this time it was based on the second Addams animated series from 1992.

And now for the bad. I don’t know what the reason is - either in the lack of funds, or only in the greed and laziness of the developer and publisher, who wanted to quickly cut money, but Addams Family, The - Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt came out somehow completely empty and unfinished. The first thing that catches your eye is the music that plays only on the title screen, and the rest of the time you will have to spend in silence, interspersed with lonely sounds of jumping, squeaks of the main character and a couple of other effects - play Addams Family, The - Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt if you want to know what a sad sight games are without music! The graphics, although they look a little better than their predecessors, evoke mortal boredom with their empty backgrounds, which differ from each other only in the fill color.

Despite all the shortcomings, Addams Family, The - Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt is still able to captivate the player quite a bit, thanks to responsive controls and a good balance of difficulty, but this is absolutely not enough for a good and memorable game.
