Game After Burner (Sega Master System - sms)
After Burner

Shooting game with a rear view, carried over from the slot machine. I don't think anyone needs to introduce this game. We take off from an aircraft carrier and chop up enemy aircraft, since the supply of missiles and ammunition is not limited.

The American F-14 Tomcat will have to be piloted: a jet interceptor and bomber used by the US Air Force from 1974 to 2006 (the new F-18F came to replace it). The main task of the fighter is to dominate the surface space, so the main place for landing and takeoff are aircraft carriers, which is also clearly demonstrated in the game. But there are also overland missions, a total of 18 large, varied stages, with a smooth transition from one to another.

From weapons in the arsenal of a fighter, a six-barreled Vulcan cannon with unlimited ammunition and air-to-air missiles - their number is limited, but they are periodically replenished by refuelers. Not all enemies in the game are dangerous and offer adequate resistance. Some just fly, waiting to get their portion of lead. And others fire missiles, which you need to dodge as quickly as possible, since even one hit is fatal. The flights themselves are impressive, the effect of presence is created, and when you enter the plane into a series of "barrels", the head starts to spin a little.

The game's music was composed by composer Hiroshi Kawaguchi and the SST Band. Songs from the game have repeatedly been included in various music albums.
