Adventures of Lolo is a very addictive puzzle game in which the player controls a blue ball-shaped creature named Lolo.
The American version of the game Adventures of Lolo is about a ball named Lolo, whose girlfriend was stolen, and he must save her, going through many rooms and solving puzzles with chests. In Japan, there was a game with a similar name and content, but it was nevertheless different and it was released in America already as Lolo adventures with number two, although at first glance the games are difficult to distinguish.
The evil demon Egger kidnaps the love of the protagonist - Princess Lala, no less spherical person. Our duty is, playing as Lolo, to get into the castle, go through all the rooms and floors filled with terrible monsters, and, ultimately, save our girlfriend.
The peculiarity of the passage of the game Adventures of Lolo lies in the diverse behavior of monsters on the levels. Some just stand in the way, others try to catch you after collecting all the hearts, others start shooting when the hero enters their field of vision. To open the door to the next room, you need to do two things: collect all the hearts to open the chest, and then safely get to this very chest. In general, it will not be boring. For a puzzle, the graphics are decently implemented, the high-quality drawing of the main character and many monsters catches the eye.
It is noteworthy that the Japanese version of the game Adventures of Lolo was not released. Because of this, there is a shift in the numbering of the subsequent parts of the trilogy: in fact, Adventures of Lolo is the second part of the series, and not the first, and Adventures of Lolo II is the third.
In terms of gameplay, Adventures of Lolo is a puzzle game with action elements. The game is divided into 10 floors, each with five locations. To pass each screen, you must, controlling Prince Lolo, perform a set of certain actions. First you need to collect all the hearts on the screen (eng. Heart Frame), after which a chest will open with a key to the next level. Then take the key and, finally, leave the level through the door that opened after taking the key.
Each game location is a field of 10x11 cells filled with various enemies and obstacles. Some enemies simply stand still and block the passage, others shoot at Lolo as soon as he is in line with them, others stand still until the player has collected all the hearts, after which they begin to randomly or purposefully move around the screen. The coverage of the location cells can also be different, which affects the gameplay in different ways, it can be: grass, lava, sand, water, stone, bridge or tree.
An important role in Adventures of Lolo is played by the so-called Emerald Framer, which can be moved around the free cells of the location in order, for example, to clear your way or block the enemy. Lolo does not have a permanent weapon, but he can gain the ability to turn enemies into eggs by collecting hearts. After some time, the enemy becomes active again, however, until this happens, you can move it to the right place or simply run past it without fear of being attacked.
In addition to being able to turn enemies into eggs, taking hearts can give Lolo the skills necessary to complete the game, such as the ability to break an impenetrable stone or build a bridge over a cell with water.
